Your role

AirAsia is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance Intern to join their dynamic finance team. This internship provides an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in various aspects of finance, including financial analysis, budgeting, and accounting. The successful candidate will work closely with AirAsia's finance professionals and contribute to the day-to-day operations of the finance department.

In this role, your main responsibilities are as follows:

• Financial Analysis
  • Assist in preparing financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Conduct data analysis to support key financial decisions and strategic initiatives.
  • Collaborate with team members to evaluate financial performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Budgeting and Forecasting
  • Support the budgeting and forecasting processes by collecting and analyzing financial data.
  • Assist in preparing budget reports and variance analyses to ensure accuracy and alignment with organizational goals.
• Accounting Support
  • Participate in month-end and year-end closing processes.
  • Assist with reconciling financial discrepancies and ensuring data integrity in the accounting systems.
  • Gain exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger activities.
• Ad Hoc Projects
  • Contribute to special projects as assigned by the finance team, providing research and analysis as needed.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address specific finance-related challenges.

About you
