Your role

The Language & QA team is looking for an English-Malay Translator. As a Malay translator, you will be translating a wide range of written materials including web pages, travel guides, marketing campaigns, etc. In addition, you will be supporting the team by managing translation projects through the translation management system and doing jobs assigned by the manager.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Translate English content into Malay. The content includes web pages, travel guides, marketing materials, terms and conditions, inflight products, and common materials in the aviation/travel industry. (55%)
  • Review/revise/edit the existing translation (20%)
  • Manage translation projects through the translation management system (TMS) (20%)
  • Support the team by doing jobs assigned by the manager (5%)

About you

  • Native Malay speaker
  • Strong command of written English and Malay languages
  • Able to write clearly and effectively while maintaining the existing tones and styles
  • Able to distinguish verbal and written languages
  • Able to complete minimum 1,000 English words daily
  • Attention to detail
  • Passionate in learning and improving through research
  • Interested in aviation/travel industry
  • No experience necessary (fresh college graduates can apply)
  • Willing to work at RedQ or RedStation
