Job Responsibilities
You’ll be joining our Astro’s Young Talent Programme (AYTP) under the Creative stream.
AYTP is an 18-months stream-based rotation programme that enables you to contribute to Astro’s vision of reinventing entertainment by bringing better content & products while deepening our relationship with customers.
This stream is for creative folks that are interested to learn the various aspects of content ranging from hands-on ideation and production to business development, strategy and distribution, collaborating with content creators, producers and streaming partners while working with Malaysia’s top on and off-screen talents with the purpose of delivering captivating content that will shape the minds of Malaysians.
What you will do:
You’ll be placed in multiple roles spanning Astro’s key areas of business within Content/Radio/Awani and an elective of your choice
You’ll be given diverse and various tasks and analytics responsibilities at the various team of Astro
You will learn to understand the company’s business model, short-term and long-term strategies
You will learn about the whole function of the key division, a selected part of the business and understand how functions and workflows are connected vertically and horizontally, internalize our core values and learn how to collaborate in Astro
You will be provided with theoretical and hands-on experience from a managerial perspective
You are expected to participate actively and contribute to the tasks assigned during each rotation
These KPIs may be adjusted and amended from time to time depending on the needs and align with the Company’s imperatives.
Requirements
Who you are:
Possess a degree (Bachelors, Masters or PhD) in creative fields/business/commerce or any relevant fields with strong passion in the
entertainment and music industry
Fresh graduate or with a minimum of less than 1 year's working experience
Second Class Upper (CGPA 3.2) and above, or it's equivalent
Brilliant interpersonal and communication skills
Imaginative, playful, have a wealth of ideas and the ability to find connections
between seemingly disparate phenomena
Agile, quick in adapting to changes and having fun working under pressure
Being driven by progress, passionate to drive new initiatives and genuinely
collaborating with others to make it happen.
