You are able to design and review network architecture and involve in project management to deliver network services.
You will need to maintain some technical skills in multiple technical domains such as LANs (Local Area Networks), WANs (Wide Area Networks) VPNs (Virtual Private Networks) Routers, Firewalls, VoIP, converged IP Contact Center, Voice Self-Service Solutions, Advanced Threat Protection from Cloud security solution and Wireless.
This role also demands strong organizational and interpersonal skills and the ability to lead complex technical decision making as well as maintain complex technical documentation.
Participate in the selection of hardware and software products and participate in the planning for which features get implemented on what timeline. Participate in annual technology planning to identify where technology investments are needed and where technical architectures need updating.
Participate on application or infrastructure implementation projects to insure the design conforms to the technical architecture and standards, and modify or extend the technical architecture when it is necessary to accommodate project needs.
Develop architectural strategy, including technology standardization and modernization of enterprise, data center and disaster recovery network infrastructures.
Align architectural strategy with business objectives. Research technologies to enhance & evolve the Security, Network, Contact Center and Unified Communications infrastructure.
Analyze existing Security, Network, Contact Center and Unified Communications structure in order to define, design and achieve simplified, modern, application-focused network architectures.
Leadership role on Security, Network, Contact Center and Unified Communications infrastructure projects to design and architect large-scale networks.
To provide High Level solution and proposal to business units related to Security, Network, Contact Center and Unified Communications Ensuring that architecture principles and technology standards are consistently applied and updated as appropriate.
Working with different departments / divisions to analyze the platform impact of change and release management on the existing Astro IT infrastructure.
Ensure proactive project and operations support (level 3) is continuously maintained according to the approved architecture.
This support includes all networks and communication related subjects for capacity planning, network architecture change request and preventive maintenance.
Continuously ensuring the efficient integration of the latest technology to ensure enhancement of the current systems meet business and operational needs.
Lead all IT systems and network activities and to ensure that all change requests are endorsed before transitioning into operations environment.
Lead in the recommendation and justification of any purchase requisitions in ensuring that all Security, Network, Contact Center and Unified Communications service request are planned and implemented efficiently while problem calls are escalated and resolved in a timely manner.
Analyze, plan and develop requirements and standards in reference to scheduled projects. Assign and oversee the daily tasks of technical personnel while ensuring all subordinates are actively working toward established milestones.
Hold regular technical team meetings to determine progress and address any questions or challenges regarding projects.
Determine and define clear deliverables, roles and responsibilities for staff members required for specific projects or initiatives.
Research and evaluate hardware and software technology options and weigh the cost/benefit analysis when making large purchases on behalf of the company.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
Professional Project Management Certification from accredited intuition preferred
Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods
Experience mentoring, coaching and developing rising talent in the technology department
Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising department teams
Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
Managerial experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
