Summary 

Key Responsibility would be processing Ar Rahnu Financing application and its related operational activities including but not limited to performing gold evaluation process, creating, and processing of Ar Rahnu financing applications.  At the same time, assist BSM to supervise, direct and control other operational matters at branches, assist customers to meet the Bank’s requirement in enjoying the Bank’s product and services in accordance with Bank’s policy, standards and procedures and other requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities: As an Ar Rahnu Officer

  1. Processing of Ar Rahnu financing application.
  2. Verify the authenticity/genuineness of gold item(s).
  3. Approve the gold item(s) as collateral and completed transactions made.
  4. Ensure on the accuracy of all transactions data and meets with internal and regulatory requirement.

Duties and Responsibilities: As Bank Islam Operation Officer (OO)/ Customer Service Officer (CSO)

  1. Assist branch in daily operation activities.
  2. Attending to all types of Account Opening i.e. Current, Saving, Investment, Tabung Haji (TH) and SSPN Account.
  • Receiving customer application
  • Verification of customer ID and relevant documents
  • Perform CIF creation/updating /maintenance
  • Prepare CIF reports Authorize and issue debit card and attending to activation of TAP
  1. Handing customer complaints on all matters i.e. BICC, CASAIA, Financing accounts etc.
  2. Handling all customer inquiries i.e., bank’s statement, change of address, cards, TAP, Go Mobile, Internet banking etc.
  3. Ensure compliance to all internal manual/policies/guidelines, external regulatory requirements and memos issued by the Bank and when directed/assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.
  4. Any other duties/assignment as and when directed/assigned by the superior as per business requirement from time to time.

Qualifications

  • Minimum Diploma recognized certificate or higher education background in “Seni Kraf (Logam)” or similar background.
  • Diploma any discipline with working experience in Ar Rahnu business / Gold Industry i.e.;
  • Gold & jewelry designer /crafter with working experience with any jewelry manufacturer/ shop / retailer.
