About Bank Islam Malaysia

Bank Islam Malaysia was established in 1983 and emerged from determined efforts sparked by the Bumiputera Economic Congress in 1980 and a subsequent seminar on the Concept of Development in Islam in 1981. Using innovative Waqf land development, Bank Islam's headquarters, Menara Bank Islam in Kuala Lumpur's 'Golden Triangle,' symbolizes its growth. As of the end of 2022, the bank has over 135 branches nationwide, supported by a workforce exceeding 4,500.
