BASF Shared Services Centre Kuala Lumpur was established in 2005. Located in Kuala Lumpur, the shared services centre has nearly 700 employees and provides functional services in the areas of Finance, Controlling, Information Services, Human Resources, Environment, Health & Safety, Procurement and Import-Export Operations Services to BASF companies and affiliates in 17 markets across the Asia Pacific region.  

As the GB embarks on a journey of digitalization and innovation, this position aims at supporting the Technology Unit to drive digitalization and innovation to achieve excellence, and optimal systems/tools/processes for service delivery and management of the organization within and beyond GB. 

Main tasks

• Support in team activities, real assisgnments and projects
• Participate in digital solutions development, involve in research activities on new technologies and digital tools
• Develop software applications using open-source web application framework (e.g., Web2py), analyze, understand, and documenting the business processes in detail
• Keen interest in developing a career in Software Development or DevOps role

Requirements 

• Able to commit and start from February 2022 onwards for a minimum 5 months internship
• Pursuing a Degree in Information Technology, Computer Sciences or any related disciplines
• Proficient in oral and written English
• Knowledge in SQL language and programming language (e.g. Python, Java, .Net) is an added advantage 
• A good team player with high level of maturity and independence
