Your role

As a Finance Executive at BDO Malaysia, your essential duty & responsibilities are:

• Prepare full sets of accounts which include preparation of journal entries and accounts reconciliation
• Handle day-to-day accounting functions such as data entry of transactions into the accounting system, invoicing, payments, receipts and etc.
• Preparation and submission of bi-monthly SST return.
• Prepare monthly staff claims for payment.
• Prepare monthly, year-end, and ad-hoc reports.
• Responsible for the submission of statutory accounts and liaising with the external auditors
• Performs other ad hoc accounting assignments as assigned

Work-life balance

Regular office hours at BDO Malaysia are from Monday to Friday, 08:30 AM to 05:30 PM. In other words, you will be working around 45 hours per week. As with any other accounting firm, you may expect to work overtime during peak season.

About you

• Education
  • Minimum Diploma in Accounting/Finance/LCCI or equivalent
  • Preferably 1 year of relevant working experience
  • Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply
• Other skills:
  • Basic knowledge of accounting systems (i.e. Xero and Autocount) and MS Office
  • Meticulous with a sense of urgency and able to work with minimum supervision
  • Good interpersonal skills with a positive attitude
  • Good command of written and spoken English
