Your role

As a Knowledge Intern within BCG's Climate & Sustainability, you will be part of a fast-growing and entrepreneurial team that aims to be the top advisor and thought leader for both Brazil’s private and public sectors in the net-zero transition and sustainable development, developing expertise related to net-zero transition across industries and sectors, working together with BCG case and proposal teams to deliver customized knowledge assets and relevant climate action, sustainability, and ESG topic advisory.

In addition, with guidance from senior colleagues, you will support your topic/sector in developing intellectual property & knowledge assets and managing content on internal BCG websites, ensuring the availability of the latest, high-quality content. You will also support business development and go-to-market efforts for the Climate & Sustainability business, as opportunities arise, contributing research and analysis to marketing efforts conferences, and publications.

About you

For this role, you're expected to be good at:

Qualifications you should meet for this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, economics, or related field that is expected to graduate in 2024/2025;
  • A demonstrable passion for climate change and sustainability issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a global team environment.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with a range of stakeholders.
  • A strong academic background with relevant experience in environmental science, sustainable development, or related fields, such as:
    • Energy transition
    • Climate transition
    • Net zero & decarbonization standards and levers,
    • Emission accounting
    • Climate Policy & Regulation, among others
    • A passion for climate change and sustainability issues as well as flexibility and resourcefulness are required for success in a fast-growing practice area.
    • An understanding of or keen interest in energy systems, renewable energy, climate adaptation, emission accounting, and net-zero initiatives.
    • 0-2 years of experience through internships, volunteer work, or projects related to climate change, sustainability, or natural resource management (e.g., energy, water, agriculture).
