Your role

Job purpose

To analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities.

As an intern, your responsibilities include:

  • Control and track the logistics rate of services (Transport/ Warehouse/Others) through various businesses.
  • Apply a general comprehension of transportation and logistics practices and procedures to assist in the negotiation of transportation prices and contract terms for customers
  • Update any revised rate from time to time and provide it to the business for costing purposes.
  • Independently analyze current transportation operations practices to resolve process and cost improvement opportunities.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating or complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Ensure rates are billed by the service provider as per contract rates.
  • Managing end-to-end Contract Management process.
  • Able to perform the tender exercise (RFP/RFQ/Contract Award).
  • Expose to transport and market situation and highlight if there are potential impacts to the business.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • This is an internship placement open for students with Supply chain/ Logistics/ Business Management preferred
  • Good team player
  • Good communication skill
  • Good with MS Office 
  • An internship period between 3- 6 months preferred
