Your role

The Universal Banker is an intermediate-level position responsible for the execution of sales, products, or service activities in coordination with the customer service team. The overall objective of this role is to grow sales, build customer loyalty and recommend the development of business strategies or initiatives.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality customer service to internal and external customers, and respond to and resolve account service issues
  • Execute various financial transactions, by bank policies and procedures
  • Transform service transactions to sales opportunities and refer opportunities to segment partners where appropriate
  • Educate customers on utilizing available access channels (i.e. ATM, Online, and Telephone Banking)
  • Participate in sales/ service activities by participating in seminars, micromarketing events, promotional campaigns, product initiatives, etc.
  • Identify inconsistencies in data, define business issues and formulate recommendations on policies, procedures, or practices
  • Adhere to operational controls, including legal, corporate, and regulatory procedures to ensure the safety and security of customer and bank assets
  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients, and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules, and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

About you

Qualifications:

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
  • Previous financial sales and customer service experience preferred
  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's Degree/University degree or equivalent experience.
