Your role

Join Dell as a Global Supply Management Intern of its Undergraduate Intern team in Penang to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact.

You will:

  • Works closely with suppliers and internal teams to ensure product availability at product launch.
  • Works directly with suppliers or tier 2 suppliers if required to assure capacity and continuity of supply for specific components.
  • Coordinates global supply with regional procurement.
  • Balances available supply globally against regional requirements.
  • Performs long-range capacity analysis for their commodity.
  • Coordinates Quarterly Business Review (QBR) or Ops Review process.
  • Works closely with regional buyers to regulate the supplier mix of the total available market (TAM).
  • Manages component transitions globally to minimize excess and obsolete inventory (E&O).
  • Works with functional leaders to perform analysis and identify areas for performance improvement.
  • Works with the regional demand team to validate the global demand and recommend demand shipping if required.

Essential Requirements

  • Pursuit of Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, International Business Management, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, Logistics
  • Internship Period: February 2023 Onwards
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English)
  • Able to effectively work/adapt with all levels of the organization
  • Being able to speak in Mandarin will be an added advantage
