About the role

As a Graduate Print Engineer within the Graphics & Packaging team, you’ll be expected to gain exposure to print technical and related processes. Working closely in the production environment, you will get a chance to complete the missing link between graphic design and final products.

Dyson's Graduate Print Engineers engage with print suppliers and stakeholders on technical (design and print) related issues, discovering root causes of problems and understanding the production limitations in order to deliver high standards of Graphics & Packaging printed parts.

Be part of the team who do and manages the following:

  • Dyson Part Approval Process (for G&P-owned parts) against established standards & tolerance.
  • Print and materials development to realize creative visions.
  • Maintain a consistent working style within brand guidelines.
  • Analyse test and trial results and communicate insights & findings with both technical and non-technical colleagues, and suppliers and constantly looking to challenge and develop Dyson engineering practices to continuously improve the design and print quality. 
  • Complete work in the agreed timescales and adheres to the schedules developed for Production.
  • Actively encourage the ethos to think differently.

About you

Dyson's graduate roles are competitive and delivering the next generation of Dyson technology is tough, so you will need to be: 

  • Working towards or have achieved a relevant discipline degree in Art/Design/Print Production/Advertising/Media or equivalent.  
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Sound understanding of basic graphic design principles and commercial printing processes.
  • Good exposure to POS, packaging mechanics, asset management, and pdf workflows.
  • Experienced in using Designing Software such as Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office.
  • Able to evidence how you have applied your technical knowledge to solve problems, either through your internship, university projects, or as part of your co-curricular activities.
  • Passionate about Dyson and its technology to help the company meets its ambitious plans. 
  • Able to evidence how you have applied your knowledge to solve problems, either through your university projects or as part of your extra-curricular activities. 
  • To be eligible you will need to have no more than two years of relevant work experience post-graduation (Ph.D. students are not eligible for Dyson's graduate programs).
