Your role

Here are the key responsibilities of a Galco Intern at Hong Leong Bank:

• Prepare weekly and monthly loan and deposits reports. 
• Follow up and monitor closely on the proposals executed by Business Unit(s), investigate and highlight if anomalies are identified.
• Support ad-hoc analysis and study. 
• Undertake any other duties assigned by immediate superior. 

Training & development

It is the 12-week internship program provides the opportunity for students to gain knowledge and experience related to their field of study while reaffirming their career aspirations in the banking industry. As explained in the video, HLB designed a 70:20:10 framework where 70% you will be involved in a real project, 20% you will work directly with professional seniors, and 105 you will join in-class training.

About you

• Malaysian citizen;
• Preferably undergraduate/ graduate in Economics, Accounting & Finance, Statistics, Actuarial Science or relevant field.
• Possess CGPA / GPA score of 3.0 and above, or equivalent;
• Able to commit to entire duration of program (minimum of 12 weeks);
• Able to demonstrate leadership qualities and ability to overcome challenges through degree or extra-curricular activities;
• Displays enthusiasm when given tasks, able to communicate with people at various seniority levels and work cohesively in a project or team environment;
• Possess the passion and motivation to push for growth and success in the banking and financial industry.
