Wealth and Personal Banking is our new global business combining Retail Banking Wealth Management; and Global Private Banking, to become one of the world’s largest global wealth managers with USD1.4 trillion in assets. We are currently seeking an ambitious individual to join our Wealth and Personal Banking team in the role of Insurance Specialist working together with colleagues to define, manage and achieve divisional business targets.

Responsibilities

The role is a branch-based customer-facing role, primarily focusing on generating revenue by meeting customer insurance needs where required. Client focus and a broad understanding of the fundamentals of financial planning and insurance products are essential and critical for the role. The role holder has a responsibility to acquire, cross-sell and retain a protection portfolio of the customers, working with the broader branch and business team to ensure the achievement of the business performance measures and plan (as defined by WPB).

The role holder is accountable for the performance of his/her portfolio and needs to ensure it is effectively run managing to the Target Operating Model (TOM) as defined by Group. Creating and maintaining an environment where you and the wider Branch team maximize performance in achieving WPB business objectives whilst providing the highest quality service.

Understanding and adhering to local and global compliance requirements are very critical. In delivering the business objectives the role holder must also maintain the levels of operational integrity required by HSBC and adhere to the Business Principles and Values of HSBC.
