Your role

To inspire and surprise visitors by presenting and communicating the IKEA home furnishing offer with strong visual impressions that exceed visitors’ expectations. This will strengthen the IKEA Brand and convert more visitors into customers.

Your Assignment 

  • To lead and inspire the store Comm&In team with IKEA home furnishing knowledge that leads to business growth by exploiting opportunities in the short and long term.
  • Work hand-in-hand with Deputy Store Manager to stimulate interest in home furnishing for all co-workers.
  • Take initiative to facilitate workshops to generate creative directions and implement a store commercial calendar together with the store management team.
  • Lead the store Comm&In team in securing relevant and inspiring range presentation solutions, optimal store layout, and effective and efficient store communication that builds the IKEA Brand and distances IKEA retailers from the competition.
  • Ensure the store commercial team has the right understanding of store layout, range presentation, and store communication that directly improves work methods for range presentation.
  • Contribute knowledge of people's life at home and consumer shopping behavior in the creation and implementation of the store business plan.
  • Based on the national competence development plan, identify current and future business needs to recruit, develop and retain a high-performing and passionate store Comm&In team.

Training, development & rotations

IKEA has its system of learning and training designed for a specific job position. You will get introduction training as a new co-worker where you will learn about how the company operates, the safety and security rules, customer-friendly principles, and the environmental approach. You will also get a mentor – a colleague who answers all your questions shows you your department and introduces you to your colleagues. You will pass more training according to your training plan then.

About You

Qualification

  • Home furnishing the IKEA way (living situations, style groups, store communication, furnishing with light). And range presentation the IKEA way (layout as a commercial tool, store media, display techniques).
  • Understand life at home in the local market and the outcome of market research, e.g. IKEA Customer Satisfaction Survey, IKEA Brand Capital.
  • Understand how to build business competence through recruitment, competence development, retention, and succession.
  • Willing to work shift hours, weekends, and public holidays.
