Your role

Join Intel to have an opportunity to create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on Earth. This is a position within the PDK Custom Design team of the Design Enablement/Process Design Kit (PDK) group. A PDK is a collection of artifacts that represents Intel's semiconductor process and is used by product designers to model, implement, and verify Intel's mobile, desktop, and server products before it is manufactured.

In this position, responsibilities include although not limited to:

  • PDK Quality validation of Custom Design components across process nodes and multiple EDA flows.
  • Develop regression test suite and execute them to validate PDK wrt pcells, tech files, runset, parasitic extraction, fill, cross-tool results comparison, etc.
  • Develop custom circuit/layout designs for target verification and running regressions via automation on PDK, debug and root cause the failure
  • Develop analog circuit designs for target verification and running pre-layout and post-layout simulations, debug and root cause the failure.

Work-life balance

The regular office hours are from 9 am to 5 pm, Monday to Saturday and for the shift, working hours will be 12 hours (7 am to 7 pm). However, Intel applies flexible working hours as well, so you can work within flexible hours as long as the work is well delivered. Specifically, for this role, you will be eligible for Intel hybrid work model which allows you to split your time between working on-site at your assigned Intel site and off-site.

About you

To apply for this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor's/Master's in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or other related Electrical Scientific STEM fields.
  • 9+ months of work or educational experience in at least one of the following areas:
    • Knowledge of VLSI Semiconductor device and electronic circuit fundamentals.
    • Knowledge and exposure to spice, and basic layout concepts are required.
    • Automation/scripting knowledge is highly desired.
    • Must have Good oral and written communication.
    • Familiar with Layout/Circuit EDA tools, such as Virtuoso, Custom Compiler, ICV, and Calibre.
