Key responsibilities

• Raw materials qualification, acceptance to plant, evaluation and assessment from quality and food safety point of view for usage in plant
• Raw Material Release, raw material quality performance as per Quality Plan (silo quality monitoring, aging raw material quality etc)
• Conducting self-Audit program and line inspection release.
• Vendor product quality performance and raise non-conformance request upon required
• To verify the final release of raw material product
• Conducting shelf-life extension assessment for raw materials
• Investigation of customer complaint and any ad hoc issues
• SAP set up of raw materials and all relevant SAP process on raw materials inspection plan set up, master data etc
• To monitor halal and kosher status of incoming raw materials, deal with Regulatory Affairs department for updated Halal Certificates (ensure all materials in house have valid halal certificate) and maintain updated site HALAL Masterlist.
• Oversee Raw Material Split Verification done by In Process Quality Control (IPQC) process and highlight for any deviation.
• Daily monitoring of In Process Quality Control (IPQC) results, report any deviation and assist online QA executive to perform cut off of product if necessary, whenever required.
• Monitor Foreign Matter Library as part of IPQC process control
• Implement and execute company activities related such as QMS, EMS, Safety and Health, etc
• Assist with customer enquiries and questionnaire, customer, third party and regulatory audits.
• Responsible as Sensory Champion of Quality Department and execute training to all relevant department and personnel on Yearly basis and monitor and documented the performance of sensory panelists
• To carry out any other tasks as and when required by the Head of Department
• Supervised & train team of lab Technician according to plan

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science / Microbiology / Biotechnology with minimum 1 year working experience in food manufacturing environment
• Must possess a thorough knowledge of product line and manufacturing processes, general knowledge of food industry, Hazard Analysis (HACCP), Food Safety standards (GFSI, AIB, FSMA etc)
• Accountable for the adherence to and conformance of established quality control procedures, policies and standards at the assigned plant location to ensure the highest quality product and materials necessary to meet customer expectations.
