Your role

As a Store Renovation Project Assistant Intern at Maxis, you will be responsible for the following role and tasks:

• Effectively communicate with vendors/stakeholders related to renovation.
• Adhere to the set deadlines on the required reporting.
• Attend teams' online meetings and physical meetings on-site/ HQ in a well-prepared manner.
• Upkeep with updated documentation & report in a shared folder.
• Perform a cross-check on-site works project audit.
• Involvement in the R3 Plus project which is the enhancement of the Retail 3.0 renovation rollout. The team is renovating Maxis Branded Stores consisting of Maxis Centres, Maxis Exclusive Partners, and Maxis Hybrid Stores nationwide to bring Maxi's retail ambition alive. The project is a good exposure to Telco-related business, store design, and renovation as well as overall vendor management.

According to an ex-intern at Maxis, there will be various trainings, forums, workshops, and talks to attend. In addition, you were highly involved in your own development as an intern and future industrial player. A mentor will guide and supervise the intern during the program.

About you

• Min. Diploma
• Open to Malaysians enrolled in a local or overseas university and Non-Malaysians enrolled in local universities.
• Fresh graduates with less than 1 year of working experience are welcome.

You will be strongly accepted if you have the following preferred skills:

• Graduate from Diploma and above, e.g. Architecture, Interior Design, Construction Management, Graphic Design, Business Administration, Communication.
• Able to work well using Sketchup 2D & 3D, Microsoft Powerpoint, and Microsoft Excel.
• Architecture/Interior Design drawing basics knowledge involving AutoCAD and Sketchup drawings is an added advantage.
• Tech savvy- up to date with current technology related to mobile apps and social media.
• Effective communication skills – speak & write well in both English & Bahasa Malaysia, easy to understand, able to respond and reply promptly and professionally.
• Fast learner, friendly and approachable
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment ( prior experience in an office environment is an advantage)
• Solid organization skills and attention to detail
