Your role

Description

• Improve supply, scrapping avoidance, and gain cost savings.
• Implement report automation and process enhancement.
• Inventories clean up mainly focuses on product engineering lots (New Product Introduction (NPI) Hold and Aged Lots.

Scope:

• Assist in analyzing current manufacturing processes and identifying areas for improvement (E.g., Inventory management, Cycle Time)
• Coordinate with senior engineers to develop and implement strategies to enable accurate and effective data representative of DEG product development requirements.
• Utilize statistical tools and techniques to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
• Participate in project planning and execution, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation. (Ex: Report Automation)
• Perform other duties and tasks as assigned by supervisors.
• Support definition of optimal logistical flows for ever-evolving Eng solutions. Includes new product flow definition, attribute creation, and maintenance.
• Provide experimental support for Product Engineering development.

Stretch Goal

• Process optimization analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of Micron's current inventory management process including inventory tracking, and replenishment methods, and identify areas of inefficiency, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement
• Technology Integration: Explore and recommend advanced inventory management technologies such as automated inventory tracking software or predictive analytic tools.
• Evaluate the feasibility and potential impact of implementing these technologies within Micron's organization
• Cost-gaining initiatives: Identify opportunities to reduce inventory holding costs and explore options for optimizing order quantities as well as improving the cycle time in machine loading.
