Nestle is looking for an Engineering Apprentice. The apprenticeship will build your engineering fundamentals through hands-on experience in the areas of general engineering, industrial services, electrical, and automation and develop project management skills leading to production plant engineering management.

The Nestlé Malaysia Apprentice Program – Technical & Production (T&P) is a 12-month program designed specifically for young talents to equip them with the right skill sets to excel in a fast-paced business environment. Through this program, apprentices will enable the organization to achieve its business strategy of building a talent pipeline for future vacancies. 

Training, development & rotations

The program framework consists of one phase throughout its 12-month stipulated training period across T&P functions. The phase includes the following activities:

• Nestle onboarding and induction program to provide an understanding of company culture, values, and strategic business overview.
• Apprentices will be assigned to their chosen functions and perform specific tasks or projects and responsibilities. Apprentices will gain basic skills and competencies of the core function through ‘work with’, projects, and assignments throughout the 12 months. This would give them the breadth of experience and exposure to help them understand their niche and how they want to advance their careers in Nestlé.
• Functional and leadership training to provide necessary soft-skill training courses to enhance apprentices' management & leadership skills.

Work-life balance

No issues were found related to working hours at Nestle, whether it is in their office or plants. Regular working hours, even flexible hours applied in the head office, and normal shift hours in the factory/production.

About you

If you are interested in joining this Engineering Apprentice Program, you should have the following qualifications:

• Fresh graduates with less than 1 year of working experience.
• CGPA of 3.2 and above.
• A great team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Interest in having hands-on experience in the FMCG industry.
• Able to commit for a minimum of 12 months.
• Individuals who are keen to explore a career in the area of Engineering
