1) R&D Hardware Engineering Intern – Analog/Digital (EE) 

You will be assigned an insightful mentor, who will guide you through your project and work term for a successful project experience. As an Intern, you will enjoy the unique opportunity to be exposed to many aspects of the product development cycle, including design, prototyping, development, testing, sustaining and manufacturing production.

• For digital hardware design interest:
• Strong proficiency designing with synchronous elements, including flip-flops, timing diagrams, and state machines
• Solid understanding of digital design principles
• For analog hardware design interest:
• Strong proficiency designing with operational amplifiers, filters, ADC/DAC and transistors
• Analog circuit, power supply and control systems design and troubleshooting
• Solid understanding of analog design principles

2) R&D Software Engineering Intern (EE)

As an Intern, you will enjoy the unique opportunity to be exposed to many aspects of the product development cycle. Software development project opportunities include development tools, embedded and real-time systems, BIOS development for x86 and other CPUs, bus and network interfaces, graphical user interfaces and automated data acquisition systems.

• Strong understanding of computers and high-level programming languages (C/C++)
• Understanding of the following concepts and principles:
  • Operating system components and design
  • Computer system architecture and organization
  • Data structures

3) R&D Mechanical Engineering Intern (Mechanical)

You will be assigned an insightful mentor, who will guide you through your project and work term for a successful project experience. As an Intern, you will enjoy the unique opportunity to be exposed to mechanical design of the product development cycle, including design, prototyping, development, testing, and manufacturing production.

• Strong understanding of fundamental design principles and process.
• Strong knowledge of:
  • 3D CAD software programs, preferably Pro/Engineer
  •  Metal/plastic materials processing techniques
  • Electronics manufacturing equipment/processes

4) R&D Test Development Engineering Intern (EE)

As an Intern, you will enjoy the unique opportunity to be involved in all aspects of product testing. Test Engineers have the opportunity to develop and implement automated test platforms, integrating both hardware (test instrument) and software, which are consistent with a high mix, low volume, high tech and high quality operation.

• Understanding of the following concepts and principles:
  • Sources of measurement error
  • Appropriate selection of instrumentation
  • Statistical analysis of data
  • Software design and architecture
  • Integration of hardware and software

5) R&D RF Sustaining Engineering Intern (EE)

• Analyse and resolve design failures observed in RF manufacturing with robust solution. Solution may range from test methodology, hardware and components improvement.
• Provide debug tool(LabVIEW tool) to production Failure Analysis Engineer and debug techs to recover failures in production
• Decent exposure handling RF CAD tools (AWR) and SPICE in analysing design failures
• Handles other sustaining projects such as End of Life components and Cost saving

Job expectation:

• Expected to work closely with production and have to spend 70-80% time in production to work in hardcore failures
• Work with Tech lead in Penang and Austin to brainstorm ideas to fix design issues. Willing to work in 2 time zone (Penang and Austin time)
