In this role, you will have the responsibilities below:
The intern will assist the Project Management team in overseeing and coordinating the project. This role provides hands-on experience in managing various aspects of project execution, including planning, scheduling, and stakeholder communication
Project Planning: Assist Planner in the monitoring of project timelines, schedules, and resource allocation.
Documentation: Support the preparation and maintenance of project documentation, including progress reports, meeting minutes, and project plans.
Stakeholder Coordination: Assist the Project Manager in communication between different teams, including contractors, engineers, and stakeholders from various OPUs.
Site Visits: Participate in site inspections to monitor progress.
Risk Management: Assist Project Manager in closing the identified risks through the agreed mitigation strategies.
Budget Tracking: Assist Project Manager in monitoring project expenses and ensuring that the project stays within budget.
About you
To apply for this role, you need to have a background in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering. Additionally, you must also meet the requirements for the internship at PETRONAS Malaysia below:
The application is open to Malaysian citizens only.
Undergraduate degree from local or overseas higher learning institutions where internship is a mandatory part of course completion in disciplines relevant to PETRONAS.
Diploma from local or overseas higher learning institutions where the internship is a mandatory part of course completion in TECHNICAL or ENGINEERING disciplines relevant to PETRONAS.
The minimum duration for an internship is eight (8) weeks and a maximum of eight (8) months.

PETRONAS Internship Opportunity Program provides undergraduates with experiential learning opportunities and first working exposure in the energy industry. You can engage in various areas of a global company’s operations.
You will be encouraged to undergo industrial training related to your respective fields of study. Places for industrial training are limited, depending on the availability of various departments and subsidiaries within PETRONAS. However, you may also seek placement with organizations in the country where you are studying.

PETRONAS doesn't specifically mention the career progression for this role.
