What is the opportunity?
The Finance team at RBC Malaysia provides Finance and Accounting support to RBC Malaysia locally, in addition to all of RBC’s businesses in Hong Kong, Singapore, and Australia. The Finance operations in Malaysia is the Center of Expertise for APAC Finance, providing Accounts Payable, Financial Control, Product Control, and Performance Management services. The objectives for Malaysia Finance are to provide First Class accounting services to our stakeholders in the Asia Pacific and to enable onshore Finance teams to fulfill their roles as valued Finance business partners.
What will you do?
- Support the Financial Control function through quality and efficient financial accounting, control, and reporting
- Maintaining department records, including spreadsheets and database
- Provide operational and administrative support in the Finance department
- Maintain the financial accounting records and ensure deadlines are achieved. This includes, but is not limited to: monthly balance-sheet attestation and preparation of NIE, balance sheet and ad hoc journals, and balance reconciliations where applicable
- Prepare reporting in line with RBC and statutory requirements, e.g. Standard of Documentation packages, SOX, GL attestation, local government department’s survey, and Finance and Tax submissions to the local authorities
- Prepare Intra-Group and Transfer Pricing invoices and booking of corresponding entries
- Collaborate with the Accounts Payable team to ensure accounts payable and fixed assets are accounted for accurately and timely
- Maintain standard, centralized processes where applicable to ensure effectiveness and efficiency of management reporting
Must-have:
- A finance discipline, preferably Accounting, Audit, Management Reporting, and Financial Planning & Analysis
- Working knowledge and application of accounting concepts within a Financial Institution.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel
