Job description

You will be empowered in 3 different areas: (i) support and deliver Quality Excellence to customers, (ii) fast and effective resolution of customer quality for all product rang, and (iii) determine recurrence and severity of customer issues, support containment, root cause analysis, correction, and prevention actions in the country.

You will join the HR support team within the HR Shared Services hub in Schneider Electric Malaysia, where the core responsibility of this team is to assist our Schneider Electric employees who are based in the East Asia & Pacific region by answering their queries related to HR topics or processes.

Mission (About the role)

  • You will join the Peoplelink team where we strive to deliver our services efficiently and with high integrity. Our employees’ experience is our priority.
  • In this role, you will support employees from the entire East Asia & Pacific region however with a higher emphasis on Japan and working closely with the HR team located in Japan.

This role sets you up to gain a basic understanding of the HR processes in the many different countries in the region that we support. It is a foundational role to start with for those who want to pursue a career in an HR Shared Services environment.

What will you do?

  • You will be using the ServiceNow Customer Relationship Management tool (where employees can submit their inquiries/report issues, they also have an option to launch a live chat) to answer inquiries.
  • Perform basic troubleshooting for HR Systems (guides available)
  • Escalate trending issues to local country HR teams based on patterns observed in the tickets from employees.
  • You will be the backup onboarding administrator for new hires in Japan. This involves ensuring that all personal data submissions are complete and accurate prior to the joining date of the new hire.
  • Make recommendations/call out if there is a lack of information/resources available in the knowledge database.
  • Create/review content in the knowledge database.
  • Be involved in ad-hoc HR projects as required

What qualifications will make you successful in this role?

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in any field
  • Skills/Systems Knowledge:
  • Communication skills – the ability to speak, and write fluently in English and good to have basic language speaking skills in Japanese
  • Basic Microsoft Word, PowerPoint & Excel skills
  • Presentation skills
  • Digital savvy – open to learning and utilizing the digital tools available
  • Problem-solving mindset
