Technician - Field / Machining / Soil null

Primary Responsibilities:

To provide assistance and support for field / laboratory testing preparation and related works, which involved site work, machining work and soil work. 

Specific Requirements:

• Responsible for the following detailed instruction provided by the Laboratory Manager or Material Engineer.
• Review of job files prior to carrying out testing works to ensure that everything is in order.
• Prepare all necessary tools, instruments and documentation needed to perform task.To conduct material testing such as:
  • Tensile Test
  • Bending Test
  • Compression Test
  • Charpy Impact Test
  • Hardness Test
  • Metallography Test
• Maintenance of equipment, instruments and apparatus used.
• Ensure all testing are carried out according to the procedures and instruction specified by client/job.
• Keep the Material Engineer updated on the daily activities including special circumstances and problems encountered during testing works.
• Liaise with the clients with regards to testing
• Generate testing reports and communicate the findings with clients
• Adherence to applicable Quality Management System by exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities in executing, fulfilling and ensuring at all times the compliance of the QMS requirements.
• Adherence to SGS Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Policy by uphold a good safety behavior and exercising necessary standard and process when carry out your responsibilities at all times to ensure compliance to the HSE requirements.
• Perform any other responsibilities as assigned by your reporting manager and/or Senior Managemen

Qualifications:

• SPM/Certificate in mechanical or related field.
• Related industrial trade qualification is added advantage.
• Fresh graduate in different field of studies are welcome to apply as on-the-job training will be provided
