Job purpose

To ensure timely and accurate payment of Hydrocarbon Management’s payables, and settlement of Hydrocarbon Management’s receivables.

Main responsibilities

  • Operate Hydrocarbon Management Accounts Payable and Receivable processes.
  • Ensure that all payments and receipts are made by relevant contracts.
  • Verify and post Hydrocarbon invoices.
  • Troubleshoot issues relating to HM payments and receivables.
  • Ensure strict compliance with payment/receipt deadlines. Work closely with the HM Contracts and Pricing team, Stock Recording and Reconciliation team, Trading and Supply, and the Payment team.
  • Prepare manual journal entries by FCM controls Reconciliation of relevant accounts.
  • To ensure timely and accurate deliveries of the team’s KPIs.
  • To ensure compliance and execution of Key Controls and Non-Key Controls following Shell Controls Framework.
  • Process Improvements and Convergence Continuous Improvement ideas and solutions to achieve efficiencies and effectiveness in performing tasks and assist in the implementation of Operational Excellence/Client Delivery.
  • Maintain a good working relationship between teams and OU, sometimes needing to mediate and assert SBO KL’s viewpoint.
  • To participate in external and internal rollout/projects/assignments (which include delivery of the deliverables within the stipulated timeline, issues escalation, and managing expectation gaps).
  • The incumbent will support the Thailand region

Requirements

  • Degree in Finance/Accounting or Professional Qualifications
  • Strong adherence to processes, policies, and procedures
  • Good problem-solving skills, analytical abilities, and inquisitive mindset
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as interpersonal skill
  • Capable of working under pressure and highly driven to meet deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to integrate business and process knowledge
  • The ability to read, write and speak in Thai will need to support the Thai market.
