Your role

Shell is seeking motivated individuals to join their Internship Program 2024. As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work alongside industry experts and gain hands-on experience. They have an exciting internship opportunity in the Lubricants Supply Chain (LSC).

Job description

  • The Supply Coordinator role is an execution-focused role ensuring that the right product is in the right place at the right time.
  • The Supply Coordinator will utilize plans generated by planning execution software (DDMRP) to move products within the Shell network to ensure key KPIs such as OTIF and DIO are met.
  • The Supply Coordinator will also be a key point of contact for CSO/Demand Planners in helping to identify restocking dates for backorders, available inventory levels, and over/under lifting.

Accountabilities

  • People:
    • Work with stakeholders: Country Hub Managers, Country Planning Managers, Production Planners, Demand Planners, Material Planners, PLM, DIO/Planning Analyst, Logistic, CCA, Contract Procurement, Customer Operations, back-end support functions, Sales & Marketing, etc to ensure supply continuity.
  • System:
    • Ensure daily operations are utilizing plans generated by planning execution software (O8/DDMRP) to move products within the Shell network and/or 3P to ensure minimal product movements outside the original plans.
    • Ensuring and monitoring compliance of system master data/setup within Supply Planning operations, esp 5+3 KPIs.
  • Process:
    • Ensure process documentation is current and in line with business needs.
    • Close working relationship with LSC employees to ensure adherence to defined processes and ways of working
    • Work with Super Users/Planning Excellence Specialist/PQS/etc to address issues and problems in each process or end-to-end process issues.
    • Focal of the end-to-end business process of assigned OUs/portfolios. Covering creation/revision of SOPs/Network Flows/Work Instructions Recordings/DILO/WILO/MILO/Planning Playbook.
    • Integration with supporting functions to ensure inputs and outputs align as expected
    • Ensure daily operations comply with supply planning operations/processes and are aligned with the documented DILO/WILO/MILO/Planning Playbook.
    • Deep dive into Root Causes of OTIF failures and implement improvements if it related to stocks Availability
    • Escalate potential OTIF failures to line manager, plus issues to Planning managers and Network Supply Cos to ensure speedy resolution of issues and supply gaps.
    • Support any Hypercare where markets failed to achieve operational Stability
    • Responsible for initiating Continuous Improvement within own tasks and/or other tasks team-wide through simplification/automation and learner’s mindset.

About you

Shell is looking for students who can meet the following requirements:

  • Currently enrolled (final year) and/or completed Degree in Supply Chain/Logistics.
  • Minimum CGPA of 3.0 and above
  • Minimum 6 months of internship commitment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Advanced) and knowledge of automation/data analytical tools will be an added advantage.
  • Positive attitude, eagerness, and fast learner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable working with uncertainty, complexity, and incomplete information in a virtual environment.
