Your role

About the team

The Operation teams at Shopee cover the operational end-to-end process, from when the buyer searches for a product listed on the Shopee platform, to the moment the buyer receives the products. The team analyses and monitors operational KPIs across the region and conducts root cause analysis when operation performance fluctuates. The Operations team comprises Customer Service, Payment, Listings, Warehouse, Logistics, Seller Operations and Fraud.

As an intern, your responsibilities include:

  • Ensure that Listing guidelines and policies are compliant with local and regional regulations and requirements, including prohibited and sensitive listings.
  • Conduct market research on local laws, rules, and regulations to identify platform health and safety gaps.
  • Cooperate with team members/equivalent stakeholders to get insights and potential risks beyond Listing & Content operations.
  • Draft and update all materials for Shopee Policy, SOP, and Seller Education Hub materials per the latest policy regulations.
  • Support necessary initiatives which revolve around policy updates, policy documents, and governance.

About you

Requirements for this internship:

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Law or equivalent Legal background is preferred. 
  • Detail-oriented and able to catch insights in a timely manner to provide quick responses in managing potential platform risks.
  • Good critical analysis skills and ability to contribute to problem-solving.
  • Self-driven in being proactive and taking the initiative to conduct research and material drafting.
  • Basic skills in using Google Suite (Docs, Sheets) or equivalent (ie Word and Excel).
  • Strong communication skills in English.
  • Able to commit a minimum duration of three (3) months to a full-time internship.
