Job Description

The Marketing team at Shopee is responsible for conceptualising and implementing go-to-market activities to achieve increased usage and visibility. The team covers areas including Campaigns Management, Community, Public Relations, Partnerships, Offline Marketing and Design. The Regional Marketing team is responsible for strategising and implementing go-to-market activities and working with local teams to localise marketing for the specific markets.

Responsibilities

• Write long-form Bahasa Melayu articles on Shopee Malaysia blog as assigned by SEO (Search Engine Optimisation) Content Specialist 
• Do keyword research on Google Keyword Planner and other SEO tools to ideate for blog articles 
• Find images and proofread articles before submission to the editor
• Upload article to CMS (Content Management System) (WordPress) and optimise an article for SEO before publishing
• Write footer text for Shopee Malaysia site as needed
• Other ad hoc tasks, such as occasionally interviewing others for articles and helping other departments with special project writing, may be part of the job role

Requirements

• Possess Bachelor’s Degree in any field 
• High proficiency in Bahasa Melayu and English (written & verbal) to communicate with regional stakeholders
• Prior experience in Bahasa Melayu content writing for publications required (please attach portfolio)
• Basic understanding of SEO and knowledge of SEO tool usage are a plus
• Sharp attention to detail & strong time management skills
• Ability to work independently, but also be a team player when discussing ideas and collaborating with others
