Your Role

  • Daily warehouse operations (receiving, picking, and packing, delivery of goods, stock movement in and out of warehouse are properly documented and updated correctly & timely etc).
  • acked, delivered, check incoming goods as per Invoice or DO. In charge of goods loading and unloading activities.
  • Responsible for ensuring a safe warehouse work environment. To ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Maintain a high standard of warehouse housekeeping, providing a clean working environment.
  • Manage the balance of safety, quality, and productivity performance to achieve business goals.
  • Collaborate and coordinate with the team to meet all KPIs, goals, and objectives.
  • Ensure that established policies, rules and regulations, and procedures are followed.
  • Assist in effective warehouse layout that accounts for product flow, equipment, and product handling systems.
  • Carry out other duties and ad-hoc tasks as assigned to meet business needs. To uphold the corporate core values of Respect & Responsibility, Enterprising, Excellence and Integrity.
  • To carry out other duties that may be assigned to you from time to time. To ensure compliance and conformances to the Sime Darby Berhad Group Policies and Authorities (GPA), Code of Business Conduct (COBC) and any applicable policies, guidelines, standard operating procedures issued by the Company and/or the Group as well as any such applicable laws and regulations in the jurisdictions where the Company is operating.

Training, development & rotations

Sime Darby provides technical and vocational education and training (TVET) in the areas of motor vehicles, heavy equipment, equipment operation and maintenance, amongst others. All programs are in compliance or accredited by the National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS), the Skills Development Department, Ministry of Human Resources Malaysia (JPK) and Construction Industry Development Board. Sime Darby Industrial Academy offers secondary school leavers the opportunity to pursue tertiary education in technical and vocational education and training (TVET) under its Heavy Equipment Skills Certification Program, a two year course where trainees are required to complete all Level I, Level II and Level III certification exams.

Protégé aims to equip Malaysian graduates with the necessary skills and experience to thrive in the corporate world. The 8-month program blends intensive soft skills classroom training and on-the-job training opportunities, offering practical skills and real-life experiences to a build strong foundation for a successful future.

Career progression

The organization offers an internship program for undergraduate students pursuing a bachelor’s degree and having at least a CGPA (cumulative grade point average) of 3.0 or equivalent. Through this program, candidates will experience hands-on training and will avail themselves of classroom-style learning sessions. At the end of the six-month course, they will gain experience and knowledge related to their field of study.

For better career advancement, employees can join the firm’s eight-month course called the Professional Training and Education for Growing Entrepreneurs (PROTÉGÉ). This will provide them with the necessary skills and experience to thrive in the organization. The initiative combines intensive soft skills classroom training and on-the-job training opportunities to enhance their competencies.
