Responsibilities:

• Producing mechanical and electrical drawings for equipment fabrication and assembly work
• Development of comprehensive designs for mechanical components, piping, and instrumentation & controls
• Provision of detailed component descriptions, including detailed dimensions, materials and other necessary specifications
• Review and analysis of specifications
• Resolution of design issues
• Assist in preparation of tender drawings
• Assist in monitoring of day-to-day fabrication and assembly works
• Keep the supervisor and Head of Department informed on the progress of the assigned task
• Participating ad-hoc request

Requirements

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma in mechanical or computer-aided design and drafting courses.
• Required skill (s): drafting, computer aided design, Autocad, Pro-Engineer.
• Experience in Pro-Engineer will be an advantage.
• Familiar with 2D and 3D drawing software, such as Inventor, SolidWorks, and CATIA, for piping and equipment design will be an advantage.
• Able to communicate well with supervisor and project engineers.
• Able to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
• Able to work independently, patient, detailed oriented and organized.
• Analytical and capable of devising solutions to address design challenges.
• Good command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
