SUNWAY INTERNATIONAL SCHOOL (SIS) is the first international school in Malaysia to offer the Ontario (Canada) Ministry of Education High School Curriculum. A private co-educational institution, SIS commenced in January 2008. Due to dynamic growth and expansion, SIS has opened up a second campus in Sunway Iskandar, a new development strategically located close to major attractions in Iskandar, Johor Bahru, and Singapore. Beginning in January 2017, SIS Sunway Iskandar have started operations and offers the Ontario curriculum for students in Kindergarten to Grade 10, and International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme (IBDP) for students in Grades 11 and 12. Accounts Payable

  • Process payment to vendors in a timely manner.
  • Arrange payment approvals.
  • Assist in verifying bookshop’s inventory monitoring.
  • Monitoring vendor’s Statement of Account on a monthly basis to ensure no outstanding/ overdue payment requests.
  • Ensure all transactions are accurate and complete.
  • Prepare month-end closing, schedules and reconciliations.

Accounts Receivable

  • Ensure all daily collections are properly received, recorded and banked-in.
  • Perform daily collections closing.
  • Issue payment advices, invoices and official receipts in a timely manner.
  • Assist in monitoring the school’s contracts with third parties.
  • Manage students’ meal plan subscription process.
  • Perform credit control functions, including following up all outstanding collections.
  • Prepare month-end closing, schedules and reconciliations.

Others

  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements.
  • Support administrative team on day-to-day administration work.

Requirements: 

  • Degree in Accounting or Finance, or other relevant courses.
  • At least 2 years relevant working experience, preferably in the education industry.
  • Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Proficiency in Chinese is an added advantage.
  • Innovative and able to work independently with minimum supervision.
  • Possess a high degree of integrity.
  • Good interpersonal skills and able to communicate and engage well with all levels of people.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
