Your role

As a Game Artist Intern, you will play a key role in creating art for The Gang's new projects and existing games.

• You will work closely with other artists, designers, and programmers to create assets for the company's existing games and art styles as well as be part of building new projects.
• You will get the opportunity to work on the company's established IPs as well as working with some of the biggest brand clients worldwide.
• Create assets like environments, props, VFX, animations, etc. from scratch from initial design to final in-engine implementation
• Learn how to optimize your assets and creations for streaming-based games
• Build and create new experiences together with your team that will be played by a broad audience
• Participate in problem-solving and verifying the quality of your work together with your team and manager

About you

Who you are:

• You are a self-driven versatile designer and a good team player
• You are responsible for the product design including gameplay design, system function design, and uniqueness, and must be well-liked by the players.
• You create detailed design documentation, game flows, system designs, digital economies, and UX/UI.
• You are efficient in coming out with fun and interesting new game ideas, and detailings, producing new game demos, continuing to test, and meeting players’ expectations.
• You communicate and collaborate clearly and effectively within a cross-functional team.
• Proficient in English, both written and spoken. Malay or Mandarin is a plus, but not required as our working language is English.
• Based in Malaysia
• Option for hybrid/in-office work at The Gang's Selangor/Johor office. Discord and Slack are your best friends!

Training & development

You’ll have the opportunity to collaborate with a small, creative team and gain hands-on experience in game programming.
