Overview

This Internship Program with the Legal Department provides graduates/students with practical hands-on experience while at the same being exposed to the nature of the Company’s business globally and locally. Interns will also be able to experience a working environment in a Multi-National Company. We also see this as an opportunity to train and identify candidates for future hiring.

Key features

During the training period, the trainee will be provided all-rounded support to General Counsel and Legal Counsel in the country. The trainee will be assigned to carry out specific projects for various departments under proper supervision.

  • Critical review of contracts, letters, and documents.
  • Assisting to ensure compliance with the internal controls, statutory regulations, and other formalities.
  • Draft legal documents such as contracts, statements, and agreements.
  • Assist in handling litigation matters.
  • Keeping up with current changes in all relevant areas of laws and assisting to update the business.

Key skills and competencies

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB), Certificate in Legal Practice (CLP) or equivalent.
  • A good understanding of general legal principles (business or company law is a must) and the ability to identify the different types of legal documents (e.g. agreements, letters, memorandums).
  • Good IT savvy and skills - ability to scan documents, upload documents onto shared drives, good with Microsoft Office Applications (Word and Excel).
  • Intellectual curiosity and learning agility make them enjoy tackling intricate problems, ambiguous issues, and stretch goals.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented and able to work independently.
  • Able to commit for at least 3 to 5 months from August 2022, available start immediately is preferred.
  • Fresh graduates who are seeking internship experience.
