You are excellent in Balance Sheet controllership. You have a meticulous eye for details, and you love when things flow - professionally and personally. When they do not, you're the first to notice and you figure out just how to get things back on track. Your self-driven and highly organized approach will be ensuring timely reporting for local statutory reporting and regional reporting, management of Finance Master Data as well as General Ledger (GL) Project Leads for Malaysia and Singapore (MYSG).
Team Structure:
Reporting to: Finance Manager - Financial Accounting & Reporting
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure accounting transactions are recorded in full compliance with accounting standards of Unilever and local legislation.
Drive on time in full GL-related submission for smooth and timely month-end closing:
Ensures all the journals are posted and approved as per the Schedule of Authority and the relevant protocol/mandate.
Ensure the cross charge is executed within the agreed timeline.
Ensure timely completion of monthly reconciliation, aging and bank recon review with action plan taken for any issue persist for rectification to achieve green status for all KPIs.
Ensure timely submission of cost center reporting.
Fully attend and facilitate External Auditor for audit-related requirements including preparation of the financial statement.
Facilitate and provide Corporate Auditor with any GL-related audit requirement.
Manage and ensure Balance Sheet hygiene:
Conduct a monthly review to ensure balance sheet hygiene position is maintained.
Identify action plan and follow up with stakeholders.
Coordinate for quarterly balance sheet review through standardization of reports/processes within the team.
Management of Finance Master Data for all MYSG entities:
Create and maintain Cost Center Master Data.
Liaison person for all International Cost Center business partners regarding their queries and information request.
Lead the Global projects/initiatives relating to GL within the agenda sign-off by National Finance Director and Financial Controller.

Travel:
No travel is required.
Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accountancy.
Working experience in General Ledger, Financial Accounting, Fixed Assets Management and Month End Closing will be an added advantage.
Strong understanding and knowledge of Accounting standards and Financial Statements.
Strong functional experienced individuals with accounting background in FMCG industry or MNC environment.
Available to commence the 6 months contract in May/June 2022.
