Your role

In this Mechanical Design Internship at Western Digital Malaysia, you will have the essential duties and responsibilities as below:

• Create robust mechanical design and technical support of SSD products and components.
• Design assemblies and components using available 3D modeling tools. Product design experience preferred.
• Prepare detailed drawings and bills of materials for the fabrication and assembly of equipment.
• Interface with project/product management to ensure projects meet schedule and delivery requirements.
• Lead and participate in design reviews with cross-functional teams

About you

• Bachelor’s Degree candidate in Mechanical Engineering is required.

• Skilled at 3D modeling and detail drawing (e.g. SolidWorks, NX, Inventor).
• Ability to perform mechanical analysis using FEA and hand calculations.
• Good time management.
• Ability to work with cross-functional project teams.
• Adaptable to rapidly changing environment.
• Troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Extensive knowledge of mechanical systems, their design, and supporting analysis.
