Your role

In this Electrical Hardware Designer Internship at Western Digital Malaysia, you will do the following work:

• Carry out detailed electronic circuit design - Schematics & PCB Layout
• Conduct product verification against defined hardware specifications, prepare design documentation, and support design transition to manufacturing as necessary.
• Select new electronic parts, taking into consideration: obsolescence, availability, and cost
• Perform design FMEA to reduce risks of performance failures
• Create technical documentation (schematics, specifications, reports, preventative maintenance)
• Work in a team to continuously develop and improve products/parts/firmware.

About you

• Bachelor’s degree candidate in Electrical or Electronics Engineering or relevant courses
• Experience in design with schematic capture and PCB layout using industry-standard EDA tools (Cadence, Mentor Graphics, etc.)
• Excellent English communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
• Good teamwork, willing to learn, logical thinker
• Self-motivated and result oriented.
