Your role

WorldFish would like to hire two (02) interns who will assist in maintaining accurate project financial records, documentation, and database. Besides this, you will also assist in budgeting, forecasting, and reporting processes. By getting hands-on experience by working under a Project Finance professional, you can understand and practically apply your theoretical knowledge of financial accounting in your day-to-day work orienting in such a position.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist in maintaining accurate project financial records and documentation in OCS.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating project and partner financial records and databases.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly financial reports.
  • Assist in budgeting and forecasting of project activities.
  • Assist in the coordination of resource allocation and monitoring.

About you

This internship opportunity is open for individuals with the following skills and qualifications: 

  • The candidate either will have obtained or currently be working towards obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or similar equivalent qualifications.
  • Must know the basic principles and practices of accounting and financial analysis.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Teams applications and hands-on experience with reputable ERP systems such as Oracle and SAP.
  • Should be capable of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation.
  • Excellent command of the English language – both written and verbal.

Location and duration:

Successful intern(s) will be based at WorldFish Headquarters, in Penang, Malaysia. The successful candidate should be available to commence the internship as soon as possible until 31 December 2024. This position is open only to national applicants. Interviews are expected to be held in July 2024 and only shortlisted candidates will be notified and expected to attend the interview.
