Your role

As a Junior Product Developer Intern, you will assist the product development team in the creation and refinement of new products. This role offers hands-on experience in the development process, from initial concept through to production. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including design, merchandising, and sourcing, to ensure products meet quality standards, are cost-effective, and align with market trends.

Key responsibilities:

• Concept Development: Assist in brainstorming sessions to develop innovative product ideas and features.
• Research & Trend Analysis: Conduct market research to identify current trends, consumer preferences, and competitor products.
• Design Collaboration: Work closely with the design team to translate concepts into technical specifications and ensure designs are feasible for production.
• Prototyping: Support in creating and refining product prototypes, including material selection and testing.
• Sampling & Testing: Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain samples, and participate in testing for durability, safety, and functionality.
• Documentation: Maintain detailed records of product specifications, testing results, and development timelines.
• Cross-functional Coordination: Liaise with various departments (e.g., marketing, sourcing) to ensure alignment on product development objectives.
• Quality Assurance: Assist in quality checks and ensure that products meet the required standards before mass production.
• Administrative Support: Provide administrative assistance to the product development team, including scheduling meetings, managing timelines, and tracking project progress.

About you

Requirements for this internship:

• Education: Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Product Design, Fashion Design, Industrial Design, Engineering, or a related field.
• Skills:
  • Strong understanding of design principles and product development processes.
  • Proficiency in Excel, and Microsoft.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Analytical skills with the ability to conduct market research and analyze data.
• Experience: Previous internship or coursework in product development or design is a plus.
• Creativity: A strong creative mindset with the ability to think innovatively.
• Passion: Genuine interest in product development and a desire to learn and grow in the field.
