Job Description

What You Will Be Accountable For:

• To complete a range of financial activities, such as invoice processing and addressing end market inquiries
• Perform period/quarter/year-end invoice processing to ensure period is closed as per timetable agreed
• Resolve problematic invoices and other issues promptly
• Provide support on ad-hoc tasks as and when required
• Assist in the maintenance of Accounts Payable general policies & procedures
• Actively pursue continuous improvement opportunities to increase the overall efficiency and effectiveness of GBS processes.
• Ensure Sox/internal controls programs are being adhered to
• Align with accounting principles, GBS standards, and SLAs

Essential Experience, Skills:

• Diploma with a minimum of 1-year work experience or Fresh graduates with a Degree in a relevant field (preferably Commerce, Finance, Accounting)
• Applicant must be a Japanese Speaker with JLPT 1 / JLPT 2
• Equipped with fundamental accounting concepts, practices, and procedures
• Ability to utilize SAP and other financial systems needed to perform and support the relevant functional area
• Basic knowledge of expenditure cycle and rules (e.g. purchase orders, invoices, credit/debit notes, payment terms, etc.)
• Understanding of general administrative duties and procedures
• Good computer skills, and proactive learner
• Minimum qualification – Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting / Finance / Commerce

Beneficial:

• Japanese Speaker with JLPT 1 / JLPT 2
• Basic knowledge of the treasury function and rules e.g. (bank statements, cash operations, etc.)
