Your role
In this role, you will:
- Participates as a member of the project team to develop and execute reliable, cost-effective, and high-quality manufacturing solutions for low to moderately-complex products from new-product introduction through the end of the lifecycle.
- Consider engineering specifications, performance, lifetime, failure modes, root cause analysis, statistical analysis, reliability predictions, 6 Sigma techniques, measurement system capability, etc.
- Consider establishing time standards, production area layouts, and requirements for manufacturing tooling and processes for subsystems and portions of new products; develop cost estimates, capacity models, and recommendations for tooling and process requirements.
- Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced manufacturing and development partners regarding process and standards compliance, manufacturing issues, and recommendations for problem resolution for the manufacture of existing products.
About you
Individuals who do well in this role at HP, usually possess:
- University undergraduate in manufacturing-related engineering discipline or equivalent.
- Preferred being able to commit for 3-6 Months.
- Planning on graduating in 2025. Should be in their final year of graduating.
- Fair understanding of engineering tools and software packages to design and automate manufacturing processes, e.g., JMP, Lean Six Sigma, Statistical Process Control, FMEA, and Power BI.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Understanding of material properties and hardware and electrical component design.
- Familiarity with empirical analysis, modeling, and methodologies to validate manufacturing processes and tooling design and specifications.
- Must be able to read and interpret data, information, and documents.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive approach to tasks.
- Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
