Responsibilities

• To assist with research, filing, data entry, and recording and maintaining accurate and complete financial records.
• To prepare financial reports, such as balance sheets and income statements, invoices, and other documents.
• To work as part of the accounting team to compile and analyse data and track information.
• Taking on additional tasks or projects to learn more about accounting and office operations.
• Shadowing members of the accounting department as they perform their duties.

Requirements and skills

• Current enrolment in a related Diploma or Degree.
• Proficient with computers and different finance software programs.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills to build strong interpersonal relationships.
• Strong organization and time management skills with the ability to work without distraction.
• Completed introductory accounting courses and have a basic understanding of financial principles.
• High sense of rigor to prevent any form of mistake that may occur in the process of documenting financial information.
